Quote:My opinion about Gerry and Kate McCann

"I don’t believe, as a journalist, that the McCanns are, in any way, related with the abduction of Madeleine. I’ve been following this case, not only in the Web – I was also at Praia da Luz, for one week (May 17 to May 23). For the last two months, I also have followed the news on the Net very carefully and closely.

So, based on all the information I collected, either during my stay in Praia da Luz or in the Net, as a journalist, I CAN’T SEE THE SLIGHTEST EVIDENCE THAT GERRY AND KATE HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH HER DAUGTHER DISAPEARENCE.

And I AM ABSOLUTELY SURE, WITH THE INFORMATION I HAVE, NOW, THAT THERE IS NOTHING THE MCCAN CAN BE ACCUSED OF, FROM A LEGAL OR CRIMINAL POINT OF VIEW. I may be wrong, but I STRONGLY BELIEVE THE CHANCE OF BEING WRONG IS VERY SMALL: 0,1 per cent, as I'm 99, 9 per cent sure of what I say.

As a human being, a common man, father of two boys (one, 22 years old, the other 11) let me tell you this: I was at an arm’s distance from the McCanns, when they gave a Press Conference at Praia da Luz. I looked into the eyes of Kate McCann and I saw so much pain and suffering that I had to take a deep breath to control myself, to avoid tears coming to my eyes and not let emotion overcome me! I was schocked to see so much pain in her eyes and in her look! That's someting that only people that has kids can understand and feel! "

The Meet !

Why in heaven's name did Brian Kennedy, the multi-millionaire double glazing magnate who out of the goodness of his bountiful heart poured his energies and money into helping to find Madeleine (e.g. by appointing Metodo 3 and Kevin Halligen to help find her), take his lawyer, Freemason Edward Smethurst, to meet with the leading suspect in the case, Robert Murat, who was suspected of abducting or killing Madeleine. And why was Robert Murat's lawyer there?

Were they all on a mission to find Madeleine?

Or were they and their lawyers sorting out something very different and striking up some sort of deal, or even a contract?

Some of the answers maybe in Chapter N of our 120-page article on Robert Murat [ www.madeleinefoundation.org.uk/Articles/ ].

Here it is:

N. Robert Murat’s meeting with Brian Kennedy in Portugal, 13 November 2007

We’ll now move right away from the events of early May 2007 and look at two meetings that were probably of great significance in this case that took place in Portugal in November 2007. One was between Robert Murat and Brian Kennedy, the multi-millionaire double glazing magnate who has effectively bankrolled the various private investigations which were supposed to be about finding Madeleine.

Others were also present at this meeting. He was also, as was made clear in John Whitehouse’s article on our website, the man who was at the centre of these intelligence operations, running them from a house believed to be in Knutsford, appointing the staff and directing them.

We now know that Brian Kennedy flew out in November 2007, about three weeks after this ’phone call, together with his in-house lawyer from the Latium Group, Edward Smethurst. This, briefly, is the Portuguese Police’s account of a meeting between them, Metodo 3, Brian Kennedy and Edward Smethurst. The date of it was probably arranged during or soon after the ’phone call of 19 October:

QUOTE

“We held a meeting on 13 November, with Inspectors Paulo Ferreira and Ricardo Paiva present, with Brian Kennedy, Director of the detective agency, Francisco Marco and one of his advisers, plus Antonio Jimenez, ex-chief of the Kidnapping Unit of Catalonia [Note: Other information suggests that Edward Smethurst was also present].

Brian Kennedy insisted that his motives were purely charitable, aimed at finding the truth, and generally helping missing children. He said he was interested in discovering the truth even if the McCann family, the friends, or any other person is found to be involved in the disappearance”.

UNQUOTE

Brian Kennedy’s involvement in the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann has been controversial. An article by Mark Hollingsworth in the Evening Standard in August 2009 claimed that “The involvement of Brian Kennedy and his son Patrick in the operation was counter-productive, notably when they were questioned by the local police [in Portugal] for acting suspiciously while attempting a 24-hour ‘stake out’.”

The ‘Evening Standard’ article also showed that, later, the relationship between Metodo 3 and the Portuguese police had ‘completely broken down’. Hollingsworth claimed that key witnesses were questioned ‘far too aggressively’ by Kennedy’s investigators, so much so that ‘some of them later refused to talk to the police’. Interference with witnesses to that extent could amount to a criminal offence.

We are not aware that any other nation allows people to interfere with potential witnesses in an investigation in such a way as to cause them to refuse to testify, as Mark Hollingsworth in his article claimed had happened in this case, due to Kennedy’s investigators.

It was Francisco Pagarete, Mr Murat’s Portuguese lawyer - the one whom he was so anxious to see when he flew out to Praia da Luz on 1 May - who confirmed that a second meeting involving Brian Kennedy took place at Mr Murat’s uncle’s house in the Algarve in November. He told the BBC: “[Brian Kennedy] came here to give his support to Robert and to say he doesn’t believe Robert was involved in this story in any way or sense. And he asked if Robert could help the investigation for the finding of Madeleine in any way”. Mr Pagarete added that Mr Kennedy had ‘promised to stay in touch with Mr Murat’ but ‘had not contacted him since’. Mr Pagarete also confirmed that Edward Smethurst was at the meeting.

The Portuguese paper Jornal de Notícias appeared to have some additional information about this meeting. Their report, early in 2008, said: “The meeting - a dinner that Brian Kennedy asked to be discreet and far away from the eyes of the press - took place in the end of last year at a house of Murat's relatives in Burgau (Vila do Bispo). At the dinner were Robert Murat and Kennedy, their respective lawyers, Jennifer Murat and the aunt and uncle of Murat” [NOTE: This appears in fact to have been Ralph Eveleigh, Murat’s uncle, and Sally Eveleigh, his cousin].

If Murat and Kennedy each had one lawyer with them - Pagarete and Smethurst - that makes seven people present at that dinner in Burgau: Murat and his mother, his uncle Ralph and cousin Sally Eveleigh, who ran the 8-room guest house at Vila do Bispo, two lawyers and Brian Kennedy.

What was discussed at this meeting that Kennedy didn’t want the press to know about?

This evening meeting was either on the same day, or very close to, the meeting that Brian Kennedy had with the Portuguese Police on 13 November 2007 that we referred to above. The two Portuguese Police Inspectors, Ferreira and Paiva, later submitted an account of their strange meeting with Brian Kennedy.

The report, which is amongst the documents contained in the police files, indicates that right at the start of the meeting, Brian Kennedy was keen to stress that his intentions were ‘purely charitable’, because he felt ‘concerned about cases of child neglect and child abduction’. The Director of Metodo 3, Francisco Marco, presented information to the PJ about three situations, allegedly received via their ‘hotline’.

The first of these concerned an incident that the British media had already referred to, at the end of October 2007: a woman who had been baby-sitting at the Ocean Club, in Apartment 5A in August/September 2006, said she spotted a man ‘hidden in the shadows’, the same day that Madeleine disappeared. A story about this had surfaced in the Sun on October 31.

According to the newspaper, “The nanny - identified only as M.H. - reported the frightening incident to the police in England after the hunt for Madeleine started in May, but did not speak to the police in Portugal”. Clarence Mitchell added that: “This evidence supports what we have always said, that Maddie was taken from her bed by an abductor”. The Portuguese Police had however ruled out this report, because the detectives considered that there was no proof that it was in any way related to Madeleine's disappearance.

The second piece of information was about the alleged existence of images of paedophilia on a computer at the home of Sergei Malinka, witnessed by the fiancé of a British woman, four years ago, when he was at Malinka's house. According to this witness, he questioned Malinka on the subject and he explained that the computer belonged to a client and that he would report it later to the authorities. All of the computers at Malinka's house were seized and examined, but the Portuguese Police report said that nothing of any relevance or suspicion was found.

The third piece of information referred to a detailed witness statement, according to the Metodo 3 report, about a woman handing what the witness was convinced was a child, wrapped in a blanket or a sheet, over a fence to a man, next to two parked vehicles, near a town 100 miles from the Algarve. The witness, a Portuguese lorry driver, M.G., looked at several photos and picked out Michaela Walczuk [Robert Murat’s girlfriend, now his wife], saying that her picture was the one that most resembled the woman he had seen.

The British media published a version of this story on 19 November 2007, but with different details. The METRO free paper boldly wrote: “A witness spotted Murat's German girlfriend, Michaela Walczuch, in a car with Maddie, on 5 May, in central Portugal”. On the same day, the Daily Mail published a similar story: “According to a source, a new witness identified Michaela Walczuch as the woman seen with the missing child, in central Portugal, 160 kilometres [100 miles] from where she disappeared on May 3rd”.

As usual, Clarence Mitchell had a few things to say to the media: “We are not going to comment on any line of the investigation except to say that we are encouraged by the fact that our investigators seem to be making progress. Kate and Gerry are not ruling out any possibility”.

The Portuguese Police studied this incident and questioned the Portuguese lorry driver, but the facts that he described to the police were somewhat different to those reported in the British press. The lorry driver said he saw a woman handing something to a man, over a fence, wrapped in what looked like a blanket. It wasn't heavy, because they did it easily and the fence was around 1.6 metres high (5 feet). Asked if it could have been the body of a child, he responded that nothing he had seen would indicate that.

Questioned also about the positive identification of Michaela Walczuk, according to Metodo 3's report, the witness told the Portuguese Police that he couldn't see the woman's face, because he was driving his lorry at 45/50 mph, and the couple were at some distance. He only chose Michaela's photo from amongst the others Metodo 3 had shown him because she had the same hair colour and similar build.

The actual facts which emerged from the lorry driver, then, did not seem anywhere near sufficient to justify the press headlines claiming that he had positively identified Murat and his girlfriend.

ENDS

The other meeting was between Brian Kennedy, the Portuguese Police, and the Spanish private detective agency recently chosen by Kennedy and the McCanns: Metodo 3. This took place in police headquarters in Portimao.

A report from the Portuguese Police referring to a ’phone call on 19 October, gives us some background; here it is:

On the 19th of October, we were contacted by Alberto Carbas, Chief of the Kidnapping Unit of the Commissary-General, based in Madrid, who passed to us the information that the McCann family had contracted a Spanish private detective agency known as ‘Metodo 3’. The costs of their investigation into Madeleine McCann were being covered by a Scottish multi-millionaire whose name is Brian Kennedy. His objective was to find Madeleine.

“We were asked if we were available and interested in meeting with a representative of Metodo 3 and the Spanish Commissary General and Chief of the Kidnapping Unit of the Police in Spain. The purpose of this proposed meeting, they said, was to find out the truth, but they stated that they would not interfere in police work. At most, they said, they would ‘complement’ our investigation. They firmly stated that they are not working directly for the McCann family, but for Brian Kennedy. They didn’t ask for any information regarding the investigation, nor was any offered to them, for obvious reasons”.

Hague

Spy Gareth Williams was found dead in his flat
Spy Gareth Williams was found dead in his flat
William Hague has ruled that key evidence in the ‘body-in-the-bag’ inquest into the death of an MI6 officer be heard in secret.
The Foreign Secretary signed an order prohibiting disclosure about details of the agent’s work with the British and US secret services.
The case has reignited the debate over secret justice and Government attempts to hold some inquests behind closed doors.
Gareth Williams, 31, who worked for the Secret Intelligence Service, MI6, was found dead in a sports bag in the bath of his flat 18 months ago amid claims he had been murdered by another country’s spies.
But Mr Hague, who has departmental responsibility for MI6, has signed a public interest immunity certificate authorising the withholding of details about his secret work, including joint operations with the American secret services.
A source close to the case said that the coroner, Dr Fiona Wilcox, has backed Mr Hague’s decision and the Government’s bid to keep the evidence secret. ‘The coroner was favourable to the arguments raised by the Government lawyers,’ the source said.
At a secret hearing nine days ago, lawyers for MI6 – which is headed by Sir John Sawers – told Dr Wilcox that the disclosure of details about Mr Williams’s work could harm Britain’s national interest.
Mr Williams, who is believed to have worked closely with  the American security services, had flown to the National Security Agency (NSA) – the Pentagon’s listening post – on several occasions and returned from his last trip to the US only weeks before his death in Pimlico, Central London.
At the secret hearing, MI6 lawyers cited the case of Binyam Mohamed, the former Guantanamo Bay detainee paid £1million compensation by the last Labour Government. It settled that case rather than publish secret material the US government had given in confidence to the Security Service, MI5.
There were no fingerprints other than Gareth's found anywhere, including the living room, and it is thought the flat was 'dry-cleaned'

But the case raised questions about whether Britain was using its intelligence relationship with the US to keep secret details about UK involvement in the American torture programme.
The chief: MI6's Sir John Sawers
The chief: MI6's Sir John Sawers
Last night, Geoffrey Robertson QC, who acted for the New York Times and Washington Post in the Binyam Mohamed case, compared the legal situation in the Williams inquest with Mohamed’s. He called for the Williams case to be opened up to greater public scrutiny, adding: ‘These documents [about Williams’s work] may be necessary to show how and why this man died.
‘The open justice principle in British law is based on [legal reformer] Jeremy Bentham’s insight that publicity is very good for justice as it “keeps the judges, while trying, under trial”.
‘Coroners are not judges and sometimes their decisions can be dreadful. It is essential that this coroner’s ruling be made public so that we can decide whether she is applying the proper principles and so the public can be confident she is taking the correct approach to this case – and is not being overawed by the over-suppressive Government arguments.’
Mr Williams, one of GCHQ’s codebreakers, is reported to have been sent to the NSA to work on encryption programmes that filter millions of communications every day. In 2010, the FBI  was called in to investigate Mr Williams’s death as a possible NSA security compromise.
A source in the Williams case said the coroner’s ruling has been communicated to the Government, but suggested it might not be made fully public. A spokesman for the coroner declined to say whether the judgment would be made fully public but said: ‘The coroner is yet to make a full ruling on any anonymity and public interest immunity.’
The Foreign Office said: ‘It was absolutely right and appropriate to seek a public interest immunity certificate. We would always seek to protect the identities of intelligence personnel and details of their operational work.’
Police have confirmed that the investigation is continuing and have not ruled out murder.

Rachel Mampilly - Russell O'Brian And Fiona Payne - Statement On Robert Murat

Thanks to Astro for the translation.

Processos Vol VIII

Pages 1957 (pdf page 16)

On the 11th of July, at around 10 am, in the offices of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Polícia Judiciária in Portimão, before me, Paulo Ferreira, Inspector, and Mr Guilhermino Encarnação, Joint National Director of the Polícia Judiciária, has appeared arguidos Robert James Queriol Eveleigh Murat, who has already been duly identified in the process, to be questioned.

Following this diligence of questioning and given the fact that there are manifest contradictions between what the arguido has stated and what the witnesses, Rachel Mariamma Jean Mampilly, Russell James O’Brien, and Fiona Elayne Payne, who have also been duly identified in the process, have stated, the present diligence is carried out.

This diligence was carried out in the presence of the arguido’s defendant, Dr Francisco Pagarete, as well as Mrs Carla Esteves, a translator and interpreter who translated all the statements into the English language and vice versa, and the same was started at around 12.00 am.

The first person to be confronted, Rachel Mariamma Jean Mampilly, said that she confirms her statement on page 1212 of the process, namely that she saw the arguido who is present at this confrontation at around 11.30 pm of the 3rd of May 2007 under the circumstances that she leaves explicit in the document.

The second person to be confronted, Russell James O’Brien said that he confirms his statement on pages 1320 and 1321, namely when he refers that he saw the arguido Robert Murat on the night that the facts under investigation took place, which is to say the night when Madeleine disappeared, at around 1.00 am of the 4th of May, and in everything else confirms his deposition in terms of the contact that he had with the arguido.

The third person to be confronted, Fione Elaine Payne said that she confirms her deposition on pages 1323 and 1324, namely when she refers that she saw the arguido for the first time, personally, on the night of the 3rd of May at around 11.30 pm on the outside, near the door to the McCanns’ apartment, in the company of elements of the GNR who had meanwhile arrived on location. In everything else she confirms the circumstances under which she approached the arguido.

The fourth person to be confronted, arguido Robert James Queriol Eveleigh Murat, said that what the other persons in this confrontation said is a lie, because on the night of the disappearance of Madeleine he was not at that location, and in fact during the night of the 3rd of May 2007 he never left his house.

The persons involved in this confrontation said nothing further, the present document was read out to them and as they agree with its contents, it is to be signed by all the subjects.

Lori Campbell Statement On Robert Murat

Processos Vol II

Pages 307 - 308

Letter from Leicester Constabulary
to Portugal Incident Room/Madeleine McCann

6th May 2007

Sir,

Lori CAMPBELL a reporter from the Sunday Mirror has contacted Leicestershire Police to report the following.

Lori has been speaking to an interpreter who has been helping authorities with the investigation into Madeleine’s disappearance. He has only given his name as ‘ROR’ (sic) and has not given any background information about himself.

Lori has become suspicious of Rob as he has given conflicting accounts to various people and became very concerned when he noticed his photo being taken by the Mirror’s photographer. ‘ROB’ stated to Lori that he is going through a messy divorce in the UK at the moment and that he had a three year old daughter just like Madeleine, who he is separated from at the moment. He made a big show of telephoning his daughter in front of reporters, and Lori felt that he was being too loud and making a big thing of speaking to his daughter on the phone. The things that ‘ROB’ has said to Lori have raised her concerns about him.

Could you please call Lori who is still in Portugal to establish further details to identify ‘ROB’ in order to eliminate him from your enquiries on 07917 xxxxxx.

Maria Cecilia Pereira Pires (JOURNALIST) Claims Murat Was A Suspect May 5th ?

Processos VI
1581 to 1584

Witness Statement of Maria Cecilia Pereira Pires

Date: 2007.05.23

Profession: Journalist for Portugal Resident

She has been a journalist for about 16 years, but has worked for the above-referenced paper for about one month.Questioned, responds that on the 4th of May, 2007, she was asked to go to Praia da Luz, Lagos, in order to cover the case of a missing child.

She clarifies that she was informed that the disappearance of the child occurred in the Mark Warner Ocean Club resort, and that the family/child’s family surname was McCann.

She responds that when she arrived at Praia da Luz around 09H30/10H00, and as she headed to the GNR post where she gathered some information, she then headed next to a group of journalists where she learnt further case details.

Because so little time had passed since the disappearance, she took the decision to walk around the area of the resort.

She adds that this decision was also made due to the information that the child may have left the apartment of her own accord, and may still be in the immediate area.

During her walk, she came across a bare patch of land, situated north, a few meters from the resort. She met a male individual, about 50 years in age, who approached her and asked if she was involved in the [read organized?] search for the missing child.

The deponent told him that she was not, even though she confirmed that she was looking, in order to calm her conscience a bit.

In this context, the individual proposed that both of them head towards a house, apparently unlived in, but not abandoned, with the intent of looking for the child, and so it would not appear like trespassing.

After entering the parking area of the residence, where they called out to see if anyone was home, they verified that a woman was inside. This was a woman of advanced age, around 70 years old, 1,5 to 1,6 metres in height, with grey hair combed and coiffed in the shape of a “banana”. The individual with the deponent asked this older woman to help them search for this child.
This older woman agreed.

She clarifies that the individual headed toward the pool zone and the deponent, accompanied by the older woman, lagged behind as the older woman walked slowly.

During this time, the older woman exclaimed to the deponent that she was bothered with the entire situation of the disappearance and further commented that the parents had to be going through great anguish.

The above conversation occurred in English, with the older woman indicating that she lived about 100 metres from the resort, and that the night prior she noticed the arrival of the police due to their sirens.
This was around 22H00.

The woman in question told her that she had been having dinner with her son when she heard the sirens, and assumes that it was at this time that the disappearance was noted.

She clarifies that the older woman did not speak about a ‘child or a boy child’ and specifically mentioned “a girl child”. The deponent did not find this strange because by that time, May 4th, everyone knew it was a girl child that had gone missing.

The woman above also indicated that her son was working with the police in trying to locate the child.

She adds that after searching the area around the residence where they found nothing, (the same can be said for the pool neat the house), they were stopped by a neighbor. From what she could make out, he was German but asked them in English what was going on, and then after responded that the Police had been searching the area with dogs.

During the conversation with the older woman, the deponent was introduced to this individual. The deponent confirmed that she was a journalist. The other individual told them that he was searching for the child. The deponent then left the area and the other individuals staying behind.

This situation appeared to her very normal.

She responds that during her work, she came to know the son of the older woman. The journalists referred to him as Robert Murat. He was someone who was involved with the journalists and police with much freedom. He spoke both English and Portuguese.

She states that on the 5th of May, the British journalists affirmed that Robert Murat was one of the suspects in the missing child case. He appeared very much surprised at this and confirmed that he was going to back-off so that he would not be the subject of such comments. Following this point, it was very difficult to contact him.

She clarifies that when she saw the pictures at the information kiosk operated by Robert’s mother, she was certain that his mother was the same one she had met on the 4th.

She responds that when she read the notices, offered by Robert’s mother, she was taken aback by one sentence. That sentence read that the child had gone missing at 07H00 on the 4th of May. This information was supposedly proffered as a result of a telephone call she received. As a result, she set up the information kiosk. The deponent found this strange, given what had occurred between her and this woman on the 4th of May.

She affirms that she became aware of the name of the older woman from newspapers. On the day she initially met her (the 4th of May) this older woman did not identify herself.

She adds that she has many times pondered this situation but always thought it was of no significance.
Only today and when she saw what was written did she decide to communicate the fact. She knows with absolute certainty that this older woman was aware of the disappearance given what this older woman had stated to her the morning of May 4th.

Because she is asked, the deponent responds that she bears no grudge against these individuals who she has never seen before.
She is certain that this appears an attempt to construct an alibi.
There is incongruence between what the older women is stating regarding the 4th and what can be read in the newspapers of today (23 of May, 2007).
She felt it her obligation to communicate these facts to the authorities.

And nothing more was said.

Reads, ratifies and signs.

Robert Murat - 8th May 2007- Female Voice Speaking In Correct Portuguese.

Processos Volume II
Pages 461 to 462

PJ Record 8th May 2007-

At about 20.00 the police received a phone call from a number that could not be identified, from a person with a female voice speaking in correct Portuguese, who did not want to be identified for reasons of safety.
She refers to an individual who abducted Madeleine, who knows how to keep quiet and is quite close to the police.
When asked who she was referring to she said it was an individual who resides in Praia da Luz, who has an English mother, who speaks this language very well, who was near the area since the disappearance of the little girl, supposedly with the intention of helping the investigation.
She said this man was called Robert and that he used to consult Internet chats of a pretty heavy sexual nature.
He would also use Internet for contacts with different acquaintances he had in other countries, especially in the UK.
She said most of the mails he sent were encrypted due to the monitoring of the kind of content they possessed.
This is why she wanted to alert the authorities about the characteristics of this man, who, in her opinion, could have sexual motives and knows the area perfectly for committing this type of crime

RM: It always on when I turn the TV on and even now...

MB: Yes...well it would be better to turn it off..

RM: Really. To have been quiet was the best thing I could have done.

MB: Yes.

RM: But when I turn the television on I think , eh...They are going to finish me off completely, they are finishing me off...

MB: Ok, ok I'm going to tell you that...

RM: In order to have an idea..

MB: I?ll tell you what we are going to do.

RM: Did you talk to the lawyer?

MB: Two things! We talked to the Sky Lawyer...

RM: Right.

MB: Whos is of the opinion that according to what you signed you reported your work as being that of a translator.

RM: Certainly, as far as... the thing is that is was...Let me ..eh...it probably is ...oh!...

MB: Go on, continue...

RM: We talked, we talked to a Sky lawyer, but the problem with the Sky lawyer is that he is English!

MB: Yes...No, no, no... he is or lawyer.

RM: Hmmm.

MB: And can you see, he said what it seemed to be to him...

RM: Hmmm?

MB: according to his understanding.

RM: According to his understanding, exactly...

MB: And now we are reluctant to talk to the lawyer who contacted you.

RM: That riight. OK.

MB: We do not know him.

RM: OK.

MB: And you do not know him, well you dont?

RM: Exactly, thats right. I do not know him, mate.

MB: And we do not know where he came from or what his credibility is.

RM: Yes.
MB: And they told us that the police were going to play games with false leads and that was why. And who knows whether he is who he says he is?

RM: Thats right. OK.

MB: And he could be trying to test you out or hoping that we pass him some information.

RM: Certainly.

MB: Eh...we know that you suspect that your calls are being listened to, because of this...

RM: Humm, hmmm.

MB: Right? Because of this reason we are very reluctant because we do not know him and you do not know him.

RM: But however...I mean the best option you have to come clean with this, would probably be to go with a lawyer from Lisbon. Eh...somebody...with someone from up there. Not from the Algarve. It would have to be someone from Lisbon. Is that OK?

MB: Thats ok, I will try to arrange for someone from there...but..

RM: OK!

MB: But our position in relation to all this, for the moment, as I has explained previously, is that we consider ourselves to be very important ? and I think it was your opinion initially ? to do something finally that would manage to be on your side...

RM: Yes and that would not lead to my being detained immediately!

MB: Of course, of course! And you know, many of the things that you told me were not attributed to me...I understand and I don?t want to enter into all those details and we did not do anything since I left you...

RM: No, no, no, no...

MB: I am sure that you understand.

RM: Yes, yes! Yes.

MB: And if there is anything that better clarifies, that you think you could say, that could also be used in the future.

RM: Of course.

MB: You know, you could quote Sky sources and others..

RM: Yes that would be perfect. That would be just perfect!

MB: But I think it is important that you should have the media there and if we could appear, briefly, and make statements in these terms: ?I was questioned, it was a vague questioning, I was not asked direct questions about Madeleine? and afterwards you explain to me how you felt that they made you a scape goat, that you have nothing to hide, even if your computer is analysed. And that at the end of the day you will be absolved and they will find the true abductor/kidnapper.

RM: We could.. you could.. Lets first look at this with a Portuguese lawyer, we will won't we?

MB: Yes...No...

RM: Are you going to do this?

MB: I will do my best to arrange for one now...

RM: Yes.

MB: But, but ...independently of what the lawyer thinks, I think that this is the clearest option. But we will have to try to find someone who.....

RM: Yes, I think this is the simplest. Can you confirm this. I am here having a family discussion to see what they think...

MB: Ah yes. Of course I will. But I am talking about making very clear statements.

RM: Yes, ok!

MB: That they do not enter into many details but into the way you can get your message across.

RM: Get it across..OK:

MB: That you give your version of the events, given that the only version of events is vague and...

RM: Yes, yes.

MB: And that the two local journalists and everyone are very against you...and that there is nobody with the exception of my interview with Sally...

RM: Yes?

MB: There has nobody who has spoken in favour of Robert Murat because of this...

RM: In fact of the many interviews given I have heard that there were some positive ones...people contradicting each other...

MB: Yes?

RM: They arrived and said....no, no...they have been very positive about this...

MB: Of course. people from the area...

RM: People from here..Exactly, exactly...

MB: Inaudible

RM : exactly

MB: Who know what happened...

RM: Many people from the area said very positive things about this...about me, which is useful.

MB: Of course, well I will see what I can find and get back in touch with you.

RM: OK, Bye.

MB: And if we agree on this..

RM: Yes..

MB: And if we could agree to appear for 15 minutes..

RM: I never have any problem with making a statement..

MB: OK

RM: I have no problem whilst...Whilst I have the legal cover to do so. Because I dont want to end up in prison....(sigh)

MB: That would be the last thing we want...

RM: Firstly, for something I did not do and secondly for something that would break their contract rules...

MB: I understand that and I understand the sensitive nature of everything that we have been working with since we arrived here, so...

RM: Ok..

MB: Can I phone you again in half an hour?

RM: Good bye, thank you very much.

MB: Good bye.

Robert Murat

05-Processo, Volume V, pages 1298 -1304 (7 pages)

Witness Statement

Date 2007/05/15 Time: 17H50m Place: Praia da Luz
Officer: Santos Martins, Inspector.
Name: JENNIFER ANNE MURAT

She confirms being the mother of arguido Robert Murat, and is willing to make this statement.

--- She comes to the case as a witness.

--- The deponent is the mother of the arguido ROBERT MURAT and therefore was advised of the conditions of Art 134 and following of the CPP, she wished to make a statement to better clarify the facts and thus contribute to the discovery of the truth.

--- The deponent is English, having settled in Portugal for 40 years and therefore understands, reads and speaks Portuguese without difficulty.

--- Concerning the events, the deponent has to clarify that she knew [found out] about the disappearance of the English child called Madeleine on 4 May, Friday, that is the day following it happened.

--- She says further that it was her daughter, Samantha, residing in England in the city of Exeter, who telephoned her to give her the news because by the morning our news was already running in the press of that country.

--- She states that her daughter's phone number is 00441932****38 and her mobile is 0044781*****42.

--- Relative to her life in Portugal, she states that she came to live in this country in 1968/69.

--- She had contact with the Algarve in 1959/60 by virtue of her late husband having bought a small house in Burgau.

--- It was only later they decided to settle in Portugal the husband, John Murat, having started a property business.

--- Thus they maintained themselves during the time until 25 April 1974 which began a big crisis in the property business obliging her to start work in the Lagos Hospital, as a nurse (her original profession).

--- She is mother to three children, Richard (28), Samantha (36) and Robert born on 20 November 1973.

--- Robert, the same as the other children, was born in England, in London.

--- About one month old he came to Portugal to live with the family in Atalaia in Lagos.

--- The son Robert started his schooling in the Barlavento School (English school) where he did his primary education. Later he was enrolled in the International School where he continued to study for a further two years.

Later on he enrolled in a public school in Lagos where he studied until he was 16 years old at which time he travelled to England to be with his maternal grandmother.

--- There he started to work in a firm that sold double-glazing. He worked also as a car salesman for 'Nissan'.

--- He was in England for more than 10 years, always in Norfolk. Furthermore it was in that city that he met the woman whom he later married.

--- In those 10 years he was in England, Robert came to Portugal several times, perhaps three time a year, roughly.

--- Asked, she says the is not certain on which date Robert was married but she knows that his wife in English and 10/12 years older than him and she knows only that her name is Dawn.

--- From this marriage came a daughter, Sophie or Sofia (she is not certain), who was currently four years old and who was born in October 2002, living with her mother in Norfolk [full address given].

--- Robert's wife already had a son, David, from a first marriage who was over 20 years old and who also went by the name Murat while his mother and Robert were married.

--- The marriage ended in 2003 though the deponent does not know if the divorce was ever finalised. She knows, moreover, that her son Robert maintains a good relationship with his ex-wife, with his daughter and with David.

--- [When] Robert travels to England he always stays in a house inherited by the deponent, which is being 'renovated' and which is in Sidmouth, Devon. Robert is dealing with that situation and she knows that when he is there his daughter will be found with him.

--- It is a semi-detached house, vacant since 2003 ((the date of death of the maternal grandmother), and is situated exactly at [address given], Sidmouth, Devon

--- Returning to the family history in Portugal, more or less in 1981, the witness and rest of the family, including the three children, left Atalaia and went to Almadena, more specifically to a property called Eiras Velhas. It was a property of just over two hectares, which included several houses in ruins.

These were rebuilt and the property served as the family address until 2002, when it was sold.

--- During the almost 20 years that the witness lived in that property in Almadena, they used the house for rural tourism which consisted of renting rooms to tourists. She notes that that business was always legal, having a license for it.

--- Robert lived with the family for several years in that house and later, after opting to go to England, he was always accommodated in the family home when when he returned to Portugal.

--- In 2001, the witness sold the property in Almadena and bought the house where she lives now. It is 'Casa Liliana'.

--- Initially she came to live in "Casa Liliana" accompanied by a friend (they had a companion relationship after being widowed), who currently resides in France. Later came the mother of the witness who lived there until her death in 2003 at the age of 93 years.

--- The companion of the witness, currently in France, never had a close relationship with Robert nor with the witness'™ other children.

--- Still in 2003, Robert came to Portugal with his wife DAWN and daughter, who was a baby, and stayed for about two months. At that time they had the idea to settle here. However, his wife did not adapt because of the language and the fact of being away from family and friends. So, she finally left Robert and returned to England with her daughter.

--- Robert began to work in the business of real estate having been initially with "Remax" then with "Portuguese Homes," having returned later to "Remax". The failure of the employers to pay, or the difficulty in receiving his rightful commissions, led Robert to start a project, a property business through the Internet, teaming up with a friend called M1CHAELA.

--- The witness knows Michaela, knows she has a daughter who she knows only as "Titinha", who is about 8 or 9 years old, is a Portuguese national, and lives in Lagos. She knows that Michaela is still married to an individual named Louis and she is a Jehovah's Witness.

--- Asked, the deponent refers that she does not know if her son Robert maintains a relationship with Michaela it being certain that she never slept in her house.

--- Asked, she clarifies that she never knew of any loving relationship of her son beyond that with his wife Dawn. She asked her son never to bring anyone hone to 'sleep'. That is not to say that her son had had no relationships.

--- About the son Robert, she knows only of a health problem that resulted in the blindness in the right eye.

--- Maybe when he was about 9 years old, the witness noticed that he had a small disorder in his vision having taken him to several specialists. He was diagnosed with dislocation of a retina, of traumatic origin, that was not corrected after being operated on. It left the right eye unusable.

--- She also knows that he has an hereditary thyroid problem.

--- She does not know of any other physical, psychiatric or dysfunction problem.

--- Asked, the deponent says that she has the idea that her son had been hospitalised only once, specifically for the problem with his sight.

--- That said, when he was about ten years old, Robert had a small injury to his knee, of unknown origin, having led to surgery in the United Kingdom.

--- She does not know if that physical problem led to Robert being admitted.

--- The question asked, she says that to her knowledge, Robert takes only one medication on a regular (daily) basis, a drug called 'Letter" or "Levothyroxine", specifically for the thyroid problem which, as already said, is hereditary.

--- Relative to the facts concerning the disappearance of the English child, the deponent states that because she has been in Portugal for a long time and knows many people, she decided to mount a "post" to collect information in order to be able to determine things about the subject and thus could channel them to the competent authorities.

For three days (Friday 11/05, Saturday 12/05 and Sunday 13/05) she was at the "post" mounted near to the cinema having obtained some information that she gave to Robert who, in turn, gave it to the Police.

--- Her idea was to try to sensitise people not to feel intimidated by the presence of police and lead them to give all the information that they knew.

--- Still relating to the facts which occurred on the evening of 03 May 2007, the deponent states that on that night she was at home with her son Robert.

They followed their normal routine: About 19h50 she went to the "Batista" supermarket to buy bread. Then she went back to the house where she arrived more or less at the same time as Robert. Later they sat in the kitchen where they were talking for some time, having also eaten. She recalls that they were talking until close to midnight about Robert'™s project, related to the property and called 'Romigen.Com". Finally they went to their bedrooms to pass the night.

--- Asked, she explains that while they were talking in the kitchen, she is not able to say when, she recalls having heard a siren ringing at least once.

Although not usual, she also did not "connect" because it could possibly have been an ambulance. (She recalls that sometimes, when the wind blows in a certain direction, it is possible to hear in the house sirens of police cars or ambulances that pass on the EN125).

--- Questioned, she says that during that night she also heard no noise or strange movements of people and also no one knocked on the door to ask or to request help to find the missing girl.

---Asked, she assures that her son Robert did not leave the house that night. Furthermore, she says that he usually gets up first. On that day she does not remember if that was what happened.

--- Asked, she explains that Robert travelled to England on March 20 and returned on May 01, 2007, at 09h40, she herself having gone to the airport in Faro to collect him.

Portugal Visits - Plymouth - Kates Book

Something Fishy - Madeleine McCann and Plymouth

With reference to my previous post about the disappearance of Madeleine McCann and in view of the publicity once again being garnered by the case, this is probably a good time to re-show the astrological mapping technique which I revealed in 2007 firmly links Madeleine to Southern Portugal (Praia da Luz) and to the area of Plymouth +/- 30 miles which therefore encompasses Exeter. If you are wondering why this is relevant, please click on this link  and this where other bloggers (who are unknown to me) have also noted the connections to this location.

Having read those lists, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that this Portugal/Plymouth (Exeter) link probably needs pursuing when the Metropolitan Police Force review the case. Not least because whilst reading the book, Madeleine, I noted there is a discrepancy in it regarding the number of times that Gerry McCann had visited Portugal before the fated trip in 2007.
Kate McCann alludes to the fact in her book that she feels very alone and as if no one is paying attention to the minute detail,  like she is, in the search for her daughter. However, I can assure her there are plenty of mothers, fathers and people from all walks of life and professions who have followed every nuance of this over the years in the hope of helping her to locate her little girl and solve this mystery. Not only is there a burning desire to see justice done, but if we don't know what really happened how can anyone prevent it happening again.

So with super sleuth hat on, in Gerry McCann's Witness Statement (
see here) taken in the presence of an interpreter, Natália Carvalho Ferreira de Almeida in 2007, it says 'When asked, he said that he had already been to Portugal in 1994. He stayed in an apartment on the outskirts of Albufeira. He has only returned to Portugal on this occasion'

but on page 42 of her book Madeleine, Kate says:

"I'd never been to Portugal, although Gerry had been there on a couple of golfing trips a few years before"
There may be an easy explanation but as one assertion is in a legal statement and the other in a book which is seeking to convey only the facts so that her daughter might be located, I found this a bit strange. Did Gerry have recent connections to Portugal or not? The police will surely have checked with passport records.
Kate McCann was born under the sign of the fishes, Pisces. The sign is also associated with sacrifice and rose coloured glasses. This is also the sign which exists on the Chaos/Control Pisces/Virgo spectrum, compounded by the controlling Mars/Saturn conjunction in her natal chart, in Kate this could give rise to extremes of self denial and 'control freakery'. Pisceans are great at empathising and intuiting but not always so good as sorting fact from fiction, although their life path might require them to face that very task.

So if Kate is telling the truth in her book, she may just have got 'confused'. Either that or the more unpalatable option exists that Gerry was not telling the truth to her (and she believed him) and/or he was not telling the truth in his statement. The final possibility is that it was simply a very bad translation error so I am not trying to imply anything here, just noting the discrepancies. I'm also not implying that Gerry McCann took his own daughter but the astrology does show that there may be something he's involved with or has been involved with which made his daughter a target and it's surely worth ruling out.

What is the extent of these connections back to England and how could it have impacted the choice to holiday in this resort in 2007?

One other discrepancy I noticed, having previously read all of the witness statements, is that Kate McCann says that when she went into the apartment to do her check (where she discovered Madeleine missing) she glanced over to Madeleine's bed and at first couldn't make out in the dark if she was there or not and didn't want to put the light on, but in Matthew Oldfield's statement he said it had been light enough at the previous check to see the twins breathing in their cots without even getting as far as the bedroom door. Both of these statements can't be right; it has to be extremely light to see a baby (babies) chest rising and falling as they breathe.

Matthew Oldfield's statement, verbatim, says: "So I approached the room but I didn't actually go in because you could see the twins in the cots and one of the, you could see the twins in the cots because they're in with, sort of the cots were in the middle of the room with sort of a gap of about sort of maybe a foot between the two, the cots had sort of got that fabric end and sort of a mesh side, so you could see the sides and you could see them, erm, see them breathing and there were two there and it was all completely quiet. And the other things you could see in the room, there was a, there was another bed at the back underneath the window at the far side and you could see the end of the bed, another bed here".

The statements say that Matthew had earlier listened in on Madeleine and the twins by standing close to the shutters but upon returning to the table he says that he thought it was a bit odd when Gerry insisted on going again to check - despite the fact that there was an obviously more relaxed attitude about who checked who's kids on that particular night.

He says:
"So, erm, back to the table, erm, we have, oh, back to the table, Gerry got up to go and, to go and check on his kids, I mean, and I'd come back and said, you know, I didn't hear any noise when I listened outside your room, so I thought it was a little bit odd that, you know, not kind of a wounded pride that he sort of didn't trust me, but, erm, I just thought, oh, you know, I've just checked you don't really need to check and sort of, you know, sort of go back, but, erm, he sort of got up and went back to check on, erm, on his kids"

and in the interview

4078 "Okay. So Gerry has gone off almost straight away after you got back?"
Reply "Yeah".
4078" And then Jane followed him?"

How annoyed was Matthew Oldfield by this? What did make Gerry go back?

Some of the more obvious questions don't even seem to have been raised or answered in Kate McCann's book. Who for example, except the cleaners, tradespeople who had visited the apartment and the friends in the group would have known that  children were sleeping in that room and therefore that particular shutter was the one to aim for if, as Kate informs us, Mark Warner had originally put the cots in the other bedroom. (See p45). Which in turn raises the question, who could have had a key to the apartment?

Did friends of the apartment owner** Ruth McCann (no relation) and previous guests of theirs at that apartment still have keys?? Had the apartment ever been on the market. Did an Estate Agent ever have a key to it? Perhaps the shutter was raised - as Kate McCann says it was - to ensure no-one was outside the front door (See p46) when they left via the door or to ventilate the room of the odour of something and not open for someone to climb through. Who had the key to the apartment in their possession that night? If an intruder entered by the open patio door they surely wouldn't need a key to exit by the front door anyway and finally I have to ask this one although I have never been able to bring myself to suspect the involvement of Mrs McCann; why did she not immediately start calling, if not screaming Madeleine's name out when she discovered her missing?

Although the Tapas bar was in almost full view of the apartment's balcony Kate McCann didn't scream across from there and stay to protect her remaining children from harm but ran all the way down the path to the entrance from the street before saying words to the effect of 'She has gone' - this is not conjecture, all the witness statements confirm this. Why would someone who by her own admission many times in the book is almost paranoid about her children's safety, health and wellbeing do that?
Venus was coming into alignment with Pluto that night, Venus rules Taureans and Pluto Scorpio's. What people born under the birthsign of Scorpio was Madeleine (Venus) connected with on that holiday - especially those with connections to Plymouth? Or does Pluto describe an obsessive person and not a Scorpio? The aspect for Venus and Pluto is one I have written about on many occasions, it's not only connected with hidden financial matters but also hidden passions and the 'if I can't have you nobody else will' type jealous (and often obsessive and revengeful) passion or the 'that will teach you' type retribution. Was everybody in that group faithful to each other? Was there some seething hidden resentment occurring somewhere or money owed? By taking Madeleine one thing was for sure, both parents would openly suffer, no one's life would remain the same and the group would be bonded together for life.

None of the questions asked so far have unearthed a motive for this crime so surely it is time to start thinking out of the box?

Madeleine McCann, the Symington Family, Robert Murat

November 23, 2008

Robert Murat and Angus Symington, son of the owner of the Ocean Club Complex. ("estate agent Angus Symington, 37, has almost identical hair, complexion, facial features, height and build and wears similar glasses." - Madeleine: Robert Murat has a double - mirror.co.uk)

In 2007, Madeleine McCann disappeared from the Ocean Club Complex in Praia da Luz in Portugal.

Reportedly, the Ocean Club Complex is owned by David Symington, father of Angus Symington.

At http://www.thesargeants.net/, 25 October 2008, (Cached ) Blackwatch asked "Is Ocean Club Owner David Symington related to Robert Murat?"

Author Blackwatch made the following points:

1. It been suggested that Robert Murat could be related to David Symington.

2. The Symington family appear to have links to some of the most senior figures in the British Establishment.

3. The Symingtons are the world's largest and most powerful Port producers. They are also involved in property.

4. Robert Murat's family were in the Oporto Wine Business. Robert is the son of John Henry Queriol Murat, a leading property developer in Portugal, who helped turn Praia da Luz into a high-class resort.

5. It has been alleged that the Murats and the Symingtons may be related through the Atkinson family:

"The fourth child of John and Ellen Atkinson was Margaret (1826-1898). She married Henry Murat, one of the oldest English Port shipping families in Oporto." - The Symington Family Ancestry in Oporto - view Symington Family Tree here

The
Symington Family are descended from Andrew James Symington and Beatrice Atkinson who married in Oporto in 1891 (family's website.)

Andrew James arrived from Scotland in 1882 while Beatrice was descended from John Atkinson - the wine merchant - who had lived in Oporto since 1814.

Atkinson was descended from first British Consul in Lisbon and Oporto - Thomas Maynard - who was appointed to his position in 1656 by Oliver Cromwell.

Apparently Robert Murat is a descendent of Beatrice Atkinson's first Aunt, Maragret Atkinson who married the Oporto Wine Magnate, Henry Murat in the mid-to-late1800s (both Henry and Queriol Murat were grandson and great-grandson of Peter Murat, one of the earliest Port Shipping Merchants in Oporto - view Murat-Symington Tree).

Apparently, Robert James Queriol Evelegh Murat (Robert Murat) could be a descendent of Thomas Maynard - the first English Consul of Lisbon and Oporto.

6. In January 2008, the Daily Mail reported that Robert Murat and another Ocean Club property developer, Angus Symington bore an 'astonishing likeness' to each other. 4

The story was used to raise doubt about the reliability of the eight Tapas witnesses placing Robert Murat at the Ocean Club on the evening of May 3rd 2007.

We also learn that the Ocean Club Owner's Family is linked to John Major; and we learn news about Riad El Fenn Hotel, Morocco

"John Major is an old friend of the Symington family...

"Major's former Political Secretary Howell James ... owns a hotel in Marrakech, Morocco - the very place that Madeleine McCann was spotted in May last year. James co-owns the Riad El Fenn hotel"

Madeleine McCann disappeared on 3 May 2007.
Wikipedia tells us about Robert Murat:
On 14 May 2007, police searches began at Casa Liliana, a villa owned by Jennifer Murat, a British citizen, near the apartment where Madeleine went missing.[34] [35]
Jennifer Murat's son Robert Murat, a frequent visitor to the villa who has dual British-Portuguese nationality, had drawn the suspicion of Lori Campbell, a Sunday Mirror journalist, who informed the police.[36][7]
1. THE HIDDEN BASEMENT
A British architect who built the villa was ignored when he called police about a hidden basement within the property.[40]
(According to a report in The Daily Mail, 17 May 2007, a "secret chamber" was found in Robert Murat's home.

The hidden vault - 27 ft long by four and a-half feet high - is beneath the living room floor of Murat's villa.

2. PHONECALLS BETWEEN MURAT AND MALINKA
The police were understood to have taken in for questioning Sergey Malinka, 22, a man of Russian origin, from whose property officers also took away a laptop computer and two hard drives. Malinka had set up a website for Murat and the two exchanged frequent phone calls since Madeleine's disappearance — the reason the authorities started suspecting him.[41][42]
Malinka denied he had contacted Murat, and said he was "completely innocent".[44] Inconsistencies in his account of his relationship with Robert Murat emerged: he had said he had not contacted Murat in a year but Murat’s mobile phone records allegedly show he called Mr Malinka at 23:40 on the night Madeleine went missing.[45][46]
3. MURAT SEEN OUTSIDE THE HOLIDAY COMPLEX
Detectives from the Polícia Judiciária questioned three friends of the McCanns who were dining with them at the time of the disappearance, Rachael Oldfield, Russell O'Brien and Fiona Payne, "to go over their accounts of events on 3 May". The three were also brought face to face with Murat.[50] As a result of the interviews, police examined discrepancies between statements from the three friends and that from Murat, in particular claims from the friends that they saw Murat outside the holiday complex on the night of the disappearance when he had stated that he was at home with his mother.[50]

Two sisters, Annie Wiltshire and Jayne Jensen, have told police they saw Robert Murat outside Madeleine McCann's apartment about 10.30 on the night she vanished. (SISTERS TELL POLICE: WE SAW MURAT NEAR THE APARTMENT)

This means eight witnesses saw Murat near the apartment that night and 'blows to bits' Murat's alibi that he was at his mother's house the entire night Madeleiene went missing.
On the afternoon of May 3, the day Madeleine vanished, the two sisters noticed two men acting suspiciously on the ground floor balcony of an apparently empty apartment overlooking the swimming pool of the complex where Madeleine had been staying.

At around 10.30 in the evening of May 3, the two sisters noticed a man standing and smoking a cigarette in the reception area.

The following day the two sisters went to the local police to report the two suspicious-looking men.

As the police walked with the sisters towards the apartment, where the two men had been seen, Murat offered his services as a translator. The two sisters recognised Murat as the smoking man from the previous evening.

The two sisters invited Murat for a drink. One sister, Jayne Jensen told police she thought Murat’s behaviour was strange, and her suspicions were further aroused when he said he needed to change his clothes because he had been wearing the same outfit all day.

He was dressed in a navy blue T-shirt and jeans, he was very sweaty, and his comment was, ‘I must go and shower and change, I’ve been in these clothes all day.’

“They felt that was strange as he had been in a striped shirt and trousers earlier.”

Michaela Walczuch reportedly claims she was at a Jehovah's Witness meeting four miles away when Madeleine McCann was snatched.

Friends of Michaela said Walczuch was at the Jehovah’s Witness meeting on May 3 and that police had confirmed this.

But church elder Brother Teofilo Castela has said: "She was thrown out of the church more than a year ago and doesn't attend."

He added: “I haven’t been interviewed by the police. They haven’t been here.”

Another witness said, "I haven’t seen Michaela all year. She’s been thrown out."

Reportedly, Portuguese detectives have not bothered to test Walczuch's alibi by talking to any of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Lagos, near Praia da Luz.

Michaela's estranged husband Luis Antonio, a pool cleaner who worked at the resort where Madeleine McCann vanished.

A woman has told detectives from the Spanish Metodo 3 agency that Michaela Walczuch, 34, handed over a girl looking like Madeleine to a man in a car just two days after Madeleine vanished.

The witness said Walczuch took the child from her car and bundled her into the other car in central Portugal, 90 miles away from the resort of Praia da Luz.

David James Smith, in The Sunday Times (UK), 16 December 2007, (Kate and Gerry McCann: Beyond the smears) writes about the Madeleine McCann case:

"
Robert Murat... lived across the road from the Ocean Club with his mother at the villa Casa Liliana...

"The man Jane Tanner had seen carrying a child was walking straight towards the Murat villa.

"Murat later said to me that he told the PJ (police) the press were suspicious of him, and they told him not to worry and to keep away from the press and work for them instead. He had signed papers to become an official interpreter and even sat in during the witness interview of Rachael
Oldfield...

"Murat always denied he was out the night Madeleine disappeared, but three of the McCann group claimed at the time they had seen him and still insist they were right. I was told there was at least one new independent sighting of Murat out on the night of May 3...

"There is no published evidence that Madeleine’s DNA, or any trace of her blood, has been recovered from the apartment or the car...

"I heard that a PJ officer had been surprised to find a
member of MI5 at a UK meeting about the case, and this made him suspicious that shadowy forces could be at work.

"The Sol journalist Felicia Cabrita mentioned the 'mysterious Clarence' – Clarence Mitchell, the former government PR officer turned McCann spokesman – and I was told there was suspicion too about another government official, Sheree Dodd, who had acted as a PR officer for the McCanns briefly in the early days..."

In the Black Vault forums (The Black Vault Forums-viewtopic-Madeleine McCann's Disapperance) we read the following:AULO Reis, of gazetadigital, in Portugal : Robert Murat came back to Portugal, days before Madeleine was kidnapped, and he was accompanied by another man...
Murat went to Praia da Luz, while the other man stayed near Lagos city. Questioned about this detail, Portuguese CID refused to comment...

One of those witnesses noticed that a person who was on the pictures, talking with Robert Murat and following a canine unit of GNR (Portuguese Rural Police) was also in several web pages, but near Gerry McCann, Madeleine and the twins.

The picture (1) was taken before Madeleine was kidnapped, and is clear that the place is inside the Ocean Resort. The man in question, with shaved hair, sunglasses and strongly build, appears in several photos, published in British and Spanish newspapers, among Police officers and close to Robert Murat. Our question to Portuguese CID about this man received the same answer: no comments, details of the investigation are covered by Secrecy Law.

The Daily Mail, 20 October 2007, paints in some of the background to the Madeleine mcCann case: (Why Portugal is a haven for paedophiles - the disturbing backcloth to the Madeleine case)
"The existence of this so-called 'magic circle' of the Portuguese establishment, allegedly involved in an international paedophile ring using boys and girls from Casa Pia, was last week likened to an earthquake waiting to shake Portugal to its foundations.

"New allegations about the scale of the network will be put before the country's highest court within the next few weeks...

"Pedro Namora, a former Casa Pia orphan who witnessed 11 rapes on fellow orphans, during which they were tied to their beds, sympathises with the McCanns. He believes elements in the force have conspired to suppress both scandals, fearing damage to the country's reputation.

"'Portugal is a paedophiles' paradise,' said Mr Namora, now a lawyer campaigning on behalf of the Casa Pia victims. 'If all the names come out, this will be an earthquake in Portugal. There is a massive, sophisticated network at play here - stretching from the government to the judiciary and the police.

"'The network is enormous and extremely powerful. There are magistrates, ambassadors, police, politicians - all have procured children from Casa Pia. It is extremely difficult to break this down. These people cover for each other, because if one is arrested, they all are arrested. They don't want anyone to know.'" - Why Portugal is a haven for paedophiles - the disturbing backcloth to the Madeleine case

Madeleine McCann - They've taken her?

Snatched by Fagin

Marc Dutroux had a dungeon in one of his houses.
The Belgian Judge Jean-Marc Connerotte helped save 2 young girls from Dutroux's dungeon.

Connerotte was removed from the Dutroux case. (Pedophile case judge breaks down in court - World - www.theage.com.au)

In January 1996, Connerotte wrote to King Albert that his investigations into crime networks were being blocked because suspects "apparently enjoyed serious protection". (Pedophile case judge breaks down in court - World - www.theage.com.au)

Reportedly, one of Dutroux's accomplices, Jean-Michel Nihoul (Cached ), confessed to organizing an ‘orgy’ at a Belgian chateau which had been attended by government officials, a former European Commissioner, and a number of law enforcement officers. A Belgian senator stated that such parties were part of a system “which operates to this day and is used to blackmail the highly placed people who take part.” (http://judicial-inc.biz/marc_dutroux_supplement.htm#20%20deaths)

According to a writer at The Nation Webboard: "A judge in Luxembourg obtained documentary evidence that Albert, before becoming king, sexually abused children at parties who were provided for that purpose. Jersey, Bryn Estyn and Belgium - are we to believe the police or the 'victims'?

November 13, 2008
http://www.youtube.com/v/KXV83TmhoKU
Do children get abused by top people?
Are we to believe the police or the 'victims'?
'There were no bodies, no shackles, no dungeons'

On Jersey, 'there were no bodies, no shackles, no dungeons'.

1. On 1 December 1991, the Independent on Sunday referred to former Police Superintendent Gordon Anglesea and children's home Bryn Estyn in North Wales (Chief Superintendent Gordon Anglesea.):

"According to former residents at Bryn Estyn, Gordon Anglesea, a former senior North Wales police officer, was a regular visitor there. He recently retired suddenly without explanation. Another serving officer has been accused of assaulting a child at Ty'r Felin."

According to the Daily Mail, 'serial sex attacker' Edward Paisnel, shown in the costume and mask he used to wear, made visits to Haut de la Garenne. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-517855/Police-excavate-bricked-Colditz-cellar-ex-childrens-home-Jersey-amid-fears-hides-mass-grave.html
2. On 13 September 1992 the Observer newspaper wrote (Chief Superintendent Gordon Anglesea.):

"A former police chief has been named as a prime suspect in the North Wales child sexual abuse scandal, police sources in the region confirmed last night. . The ex-police chief is due to be questioned this week as evidence emerges that staff in some children's homes `lent' children to convicted paedophiles for week-ends."

It has been said that around 25,000 women and children died in British Concentration camps in South Africa. (http://www.white-history.com/)
3. On 27 January 1993, Private Eye magazine (Chief Superintendent Gordon Anglesea.) had an article about the North Wales investigations criticising what it regarded as the apparent reluctance of the North Wales Police to prosecute "no fewer than 12 serving and former colleagues" for sexual offences involving young boys who had been in care over a 20 year period.
According to the article:

"The reluctance has nothing to do with the involvement of a number of the local great and good as members of a paedophile ring, which regularly used homes, like the now-closed Bryn Estyn near Wrexham, to supply boys for sex to local celebrities.

"In the late 1970s, Superintendent Anglesea of the North Wales Police was appointed to investigate an allegation of buggery made by X against the son of a then member of the North Wales police authority. The Superintendent found there was no case to answer. Coincidentally the police authority member and Superintendent Anglesea were prominent masons."

Who would believe the UK government tortures people? According to the Guardian, these are photographs of victims of a secret torture programme operated by British authorities. Victims of UK's torture camp.

4. Anglesea brought proceedings for libel.
The defendants relied upon the evidence of three former Bryn Estyn residents.
Two of them alleged that Anglesea had both indecently assaulted and buggered them.
The third gave evidence of a joint indecent assault by Anglesea and house master PeterHowarth.
Two other witnesses, a housemother at Bryn Estyn, who was also a policeman's wife, and a probation officer who had been attached to the staff of the home for three months whilst on a training course gave evidence of having seen Anglesea at Bryn Estyn.
Gordon Anglesea won damages of £375,000.

Marc Dutroux was part of a mafia-style operation which kidnapped and killed children and which organised orgies for top people including politicians and police.
In 1989, Dutroux was sentenced to 13 years in jail for kidnapping and raping young girls. He was out within 3 years.
Dutroux claimed that two police officers had helped Lelievre and himself to kidnap Marchal, and Lambreks who were later raped and murdered.
It has been widely reported by witnesses that police officers attended 'Nihouls orgies at the chateau'. aangirfan: Marc Dutroux
